Somebody among VT said “Bali is not Indonesia”. As America for Hawaii, maybe, the same thing can be said as Japan for okinawa. The common features of those lands are that they each stand upon its unique culture comparing to their mainlands and that many foreign people can be seen there more often than in their mainlands.

okinawa had been an independent kingdom once upon a long ago when the warriors(samurai) have been devoted to endless infighting for the leadership dispute of country unification in the mainland.

I have dreamed for years entering this “inner abroad”. Although, while I was there, I didn’t feel like being outside of Japan less than I’ve expected, still, this land is too beautiful…

On this trip, the two kids of mine got on a plane for the first time of their life of each 3years and 1year, and I shared a plane with my parents for the first time of my life.
